On 5–6 November 2025, New Uzbekistan University hosted a two-day international workshop on sustainable entrepreneurship, organized in academic partnership with HTWD Dresden, TUM International, and the German-Jordanian University, with industrial support from Uzpromstroybank, the Asian Development Bank, and IT Park, and supported by DAAD. The workshop brought together students, faculty, researchers, and professionals to explore how sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship can be integrated to build resilient and inclusive “green” economies.
The program began with keynote speeches and a panel discussion on “Green Business Models and Responsible Innovation: Global and Local Perspectives,” examining successful sustainability-driven business practices and the role of responsible innovation in addressing economic and environmental challenges. On the second day, TUM International led an interactive session titled “From Education to Action: Teaching for Sustainability and Entrepreneurial Impact,”providing practical frameworks and tools to translate sustainability concepts into tangible entrepreneurial initiatives.
The workshop aimed to foster cross-sector collaboration, academic dialogue, and practical learning in sustainable business practices. Participants gained valuable insights into sustainable entrepreneurship models, co-creation methods, and strategies for integrating environmental and social responsibility into innovation and business development, preparing them to contribute effectively to a green economy.

The Young Economists Society of Uzbekistan and New Uzbekistan University are pleased to welcome Professor Ricardo Hausmann, one of the world’s leading voices in economic development, for an open lecture on how countries build productive capabilities, diversify their economies, and create new sources of growth.Ricardo Hausmann is the Founder and Director of the Harvard Growth Lab and the Rafik Hariri Professor of the Practice of International Political Economy at Harvard Kennedy School.Professor Hausmann is widely recognized for advising governments on economic transformation, industrial policy, and sustainable growth.
