YESU membership connects you with a community advancing economics and solving key issues
Azo bo'lishUzbekistan is actively reforming its economy by encouraging private sector development, revising tariffs, and privatizing state-owned enterprises to enhance transparency, efficiency, and global competitiveness. In this evolving landscape, there is a growing need for economics education that goes beyond traditional theory — one that equips students with practical skills, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of complex global issues.
The Young Economists Society of Uzbekistan (YESU), based at New Uzbekistan University, plays a key role in supporting this transformation. By advancing cutting-edge research, nurturing young talent, and fostering international collaboration, YESU aims to empower the next generation of economists who will contribute to sustainable development and economic innovation in Uzbekistan and beyond.

"Participating in the SIR I am extremely passionate about economics, where as we the students do not have any physical and digital spaces shared amongst us. I find it amazingly inspiring to imagine a gathering of young economists! For example, I could get to know more concepts about economic theories, go to workshops and listen to some experts. This will make my time in college very beautiful and will help me attain my dream of working in the best universities such as Harvard or MIT later on.
I have a deep passion for economics, yet I often find myself wishing for a space where students like me can come together to share ideas and knowledge. Imagine a vibrant community of young economists discussing theories, attending insightful workshops, and listening to expert speakers! Such an environment would not only make my college experience more fulfilling but also support my ambition to study and thrive at prestigious institutions like Harvard or MIT.
